If you've been feeling drawn towards Reiki, this is where we begin — with you and your own energy.

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level 1 is your introduction to consciously working with Reiki. You'll receive your Level 1 attunement and learn how to connect with Reiki for self-healing, while developing a much greater awareness of your own energy and what affects it.

How does your energy actually feel? What changes it? What are you carrying that isn't yours? How do you clear it, protect your energy and come back to yourself?

These are some of the things we'll explore together.

This isn't simply about learning the hand positions. It's about beginning to feel, recognise and trust energy for yourself.

What you'll learn

During the day we'll explore:

• The foundations and principles of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki
• How to connect with and channel Reiki
• Self-Reiki and self-healing
• Grounding, clearing and protecting your energy
• How to sense and become more aware of energy
• Recognising your own energy and what you may be picking up from other people or environments
• Developing and trusting your intuition
• The chakra system and understanding the body's main energy centres
• The basics of crystal healing and using crystals alongside energy work
• The basics of working with sound and the voice to shift energy
• Practical ways to bring Reiki into your everyday life

Reiki is the foundation of the training, with crystals, chakras and sound introduced as complementary ways of understanding and working with energy.

My approach to teaching Reiki

I'm Sinead, a Reiki Master Teacher, intuitive reader and energy healer, and the founder of Good Karma Holistic.

My own healing work is intuitive. Alongside Reiki, I work with crystals, chakras and sound, and during healing sessions I use my voice to shift energy.

This wasn't something I was formally taught. It came through intuitively in my own healing work — I would describe it as remembering a way of healing that we all have within us, rather than a download — and it has become part of the way I work with energy. I'll introduce you to the basics of working with sound and your own voice during Level 1.

I don't want you to leave simply knowing how I work with energy. I want you to begin discovering how you experience it for yourself.

Why I don't teach Reiki Levels 1 & 2 together

I deliberately teach Reiki Level 1 on its own.

I believe you need time to know and understand your own energy before moving further into Reiki and beginning to work more deeply with the energy of others.

Level 1 gives you time to practise. To experience Reiki for yourself. To notice what you feel. To recognise when you're picking something up from someone else and become more confident trusting what you're sensing.

I don't believe that part should be rushed simply to get to the next level.

Your training continues after the day

Your Reiki training doesn't finish when you leave Good Karma.

Following your attunement, you'll begin 21 days of self-Reiki practice, giving you time to experience Reiki in your everyday life and become familiar with your own energy.

You'll also have access to a private WhatsApp group for questions and support during your 21 days.

Afterwards, we'll come back together for a 2-hour Integration & Practice Session. This is your opportunity to talk about what you've experienced, ask questions, practise Reiki together and build confidence in what you're sensing.

Reiki Level 2 comes later, once you've actually had time to live with and integrate Level 1.
